About the Artwork
Hahei Kayaks was inspired by the view from the lower cliff track at Hahei, where the path winds beneath ancient pohutukawas to the beach. Colourful kayaks rest on the golden sand as the vista opens towards the historic Pa at the eastern end of the bay. With it’s clear turquoise water and spectacular coastline, Hahei is one of the Coromandel’s most beautiful beaches.
